Start Up Academy was the concept of three-day intensive training and mentoring for developing business ideas from the very beginning, until its presentation to investors. Teams had the opportunity to learn how to develop and sell their business ideas and share roles in the team. Also, they learned what was important for construction business plan and how to present it to investors.
The project also included the mentoring of experienced entrepreneurs who worked with teams on their ideas within the sessions and additionally provided suggestions. The Start Up Conference was organized as a final event of the academy. Conference brought together teams who presented their ideas in front of the jury. All participants received certificates for successful attending Start Up Academy. Three teams with the best ideas received symbolic awards and certificates for the Best Start Up teams.
Goals of the project Start Up Academy 1.0.1 was to
• Stimulate the creation of conditions for youth (self-)employment and entrepreneurship;
• Inform, promote and motivate young people to enter the high-tech sector or become entrepreneur, as well as
• Based on the achieved results, to improve local practices, policies, strategies and plans that contribute to promotion of youth employment and enable sustainability.

As a final event, the Start Up Conference was organized, which gathered teams who presented their ideas through the pitch deck before the commission. All participants received certificates for successful attending Start Up Academy, and three teams with the best ideas received symbolic awards and certificates for the Best Start Up teams.
The best Start Up ideas was high quality protective foil for musical instruments (Prossic), medical web site which connect patients and doctors (Medikam), online studio and shop for digital stamp on t-shirts, bags, sneakers according clients wishes (Wibbly Wobbly).
