Start Up Academy was the concept of three-day intensive training and mentoring for developing business ideas from the very beginning, until its presentation to investors. Teams had the opportunity to learn how to develop and sell their business ideas and share roles in the team. Also, they learned what was important for construction business plan and how to present it to investors.
The Market Tech project had aim:
• to create a mechanism for increasing the competitiveness of the company in the advanced technology industry
• to improve cooperation between companies and the Faculty of Economics
• to promote a good practice in entrepreneurship in the field of advanced technologies
Within the framework of the Erasmus Call, on October 15th 2017, the BENEFIT project was launched (Boosting the Telecommunications Engineering Profile to meet modern society and industry needs).
Project „IT – chance for all" is ICT Cluster Academy which is a course of hi-tech education and internships based on recruitment needs of businesses with the aim to employ or increase employability of the unemployed in Nis region. Project is implemented by Nis Cluster of Advanced Technologies with GIZ ACCESS and Development Agency Serbia financial support.
Reasons for the Project Initiation: The absence of a clear picture of the development and investment capacities, possibilities and potentials of the city of Nis and the degree of development of the advanced technology sector, both in the local community and on the national and regional levels, insufficient communication between system institutions and research, development and educational institutions with the manufacturing sector and their poor cooperation.
NiCAT cluster, in partnership with the city of Nis – the Office for Cooperation with the Diaspora, as well as the Regional Development Agency South and the Alliance of Serbs in Austria, realized a project "Presentation of economic and investment potential of the city of Nis to Diaspora in Austria.
The project aim was to further promote the concept of cross-sectoral cluster cooperation through the development and implementation of innovative joint projects relating to product development, as well as developing and testing a prototype of the project and the introduction and testing of new production processes with the use of technology in the field of electro medicine - with the participation of the companies from all 5 sectors represented in the cluster, as well as several research institutions. It is a portable medical device for skin examination - dermatoscope. The project was implemented by nine members of the cluster.
ICT Cluster Academy Nis developed and offered two six-month training modules, tailored to the Nis region ICT sector needs. Module 1 for Software Developers and Module 2 for Embedded Specialists consists of five courses each (including two compulsory courses, same for both modules) that were developed to teach specific skills relevant to NiCAT ICT members, and included a four-month internship in one of the companies from the cluster or other companies.
